Blindsided in Norfolk

 Many Norfolk residents are not too happy about, what they say is, being blinded by the Healey Administration’s plan to use the old Bay State Correctional Facility as a migrant shelter. Selectmen claim the state only told them the plan days before without any consultation. Additionally, with Norfolk schools “maxed out on capacity,” town officials are concerned about how they would take on more kids.

Justice for Veterans

There is a nation-wide push to provide justice for vets who find themselves entangled in the judicial system. Attorney Brock Hunter joined Dan to focus on a new statute that has been approved in Minnesota and Nebraska, with hopes of expanding to MA. We discussed ways to improve how the MA court system handles veterans that find themselves in some level of legal trouble.

First, special thanks to Shari Small, who filled in for Dan at the start of the show. Here, Shari interviews Emma, – A Girl Scout and  Barb Fortier, CEO of Girl Scouts of Eastern MA. Emma sold cookies galore! Yarmouth Girl Scout Emma was crowned Top Cookie Seller for the second year in a row after selling 7,443 Packages of Girl Scout Cookies. 

Dan returned and talked with Dan Schlossberg - Author of “HOME RUN KING: The Remarkable Record of Hank Aaron”.

Next, Eric Ankerud – Founder of Heartfelt Dreams Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the treatment experience for congenital heart defect patients and their families.

And, Local veteran and power rowing studio owner Bryan Fuller will launch in a small boat with three others to attempt the first ever row from Boston to London!

Bring It! Part 1

Both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have agreed to debate each other in two presidential debates. The first will be on June 27th on CNN, followed by a second debate on September 10th on ABC. Trump took to Truth Social this morning saying he “strongly recommends more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue.” Will you tune into the debates? What It Takes to Live Comfortably in MA

A new study done by SmartAsset, found that Massachusetts is the most expensive state to live comfortably in. Maintaining a comfortable lifestyle follows the 50/30/20 budget rule, meaning 50 percent of your income goes towards basic needs like food and housing, 30 percent towards wants, and 20 percent towards savings. What is the amount of money a single working adult needs to make to live comfortably in MA? How about a family of four? Dan went over the findings.
