WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A West Roxbury resident has been charged in connection with a fire at a police station in in Westborough, Mass.
Authorities say Theresa Abichaker has been charged with three counts of burning a public building, three counts of attempting to burn a public building, one count of vandalism and one count of fire negligence. Abichaker is currently being held on $25,000 bail and will be arraigned on Monday.
At approximately 8:19 P.M. on Sunday, Nov. 26, Westborough Police Officers located an active fire in the lobby of the Westborough Police Station. Westborough Fire extinguished the fire and searched the immediate area.
Abichaker, who had been dropped off at the police station out of courtesy because her car was towed in a crash, was later seen on surveillance setting a clothing donation box on fire. Authorities have said Abichaker set the fire “intentionally.”
