BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office has announced charges against people who they say preyed on Boston’s homeless population -- specifically at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard, or "Mass and Cass."
District Attorney Rachael Rollins said three men -- Jay Candelario of Lowell, Dale Clarke of Boston, and Robert Lewis of Boston -- are facing a total of 36 charges for selling deadly products at the intersection, unlawful possession of a firearm and receiving stolen property.

“These individuals are each accused of preying on and profiting from the vulnerability, desperation and afflictions of others," Rollins said in a statement. "We will not tolerate the repeated infliction of harm on our neighborhoods and vulnerable members of our community.”
Some of the distributed products include fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine. If convicted, the men are facing lengthy state prison sentences.
The office said around 40 arrest warrants have also been issued in connection with similar offenses in the Newmarket Square area -- which will be announced in the coming days.
