Police Investigating Home Invasion In Dracut

DRACUT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Dracut police are investigating a home invasion that occurred on Thursday night.

Police said officers responded to a home on Arkansas Drive around 8 p.m.

According to investigators, two armed men forced their way inside the home and restrained a resident. When a second resident came home during the incident, they were pistol-whipped, causing a severe laceration to their head.

Officials said both suspects then escaped on foot down Arkansas Drive toward Bouchard Avenue. They were described as males wearing masks and all dark clothing, police said.

The resident who was pistol-whipped was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries. The other victim was treated for less severe injuries at the scene.
