Newburyport Police and Fire Respond To Pedestrian Crash

NEWBURYPORT, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) On Wednesday, the Newburyport Police and Fire Departments responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian, Newburyport Police said.  

The crash occurred at about 11:14 a.m. at the intersection of High and Marlboro streets for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.  

First responders arrived on the scene to find an adult male pedestrian suffering injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening. According to police, the victim was taken by ambulance for treatment at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.  

The driver of the 2009 Lexus sport utility vehicle involved in the crash remained on the scene and is reportedly cooperating with police.  

The crash remains under investigation.
