New Hampshire Woman Charged With DUI After Driving Wrong Way On 93

HOOKSETT, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police in New Hampshire stopped a wrong-way driver on I-93 early Sunday morning.

Police say the driver, identified as Laura Anderson of Brentwood, N.H., was first spotted driving the wrong way on Route 101 in Manchester by State Troopers at around 1:00 AM.

An off-duty officer reported being nearly hit by Anderson's car a short time later, which was going north-bound on I-93 South.

The car was eventually stopped at the Hooksett Toll Plaza, with the State Police crediting Trooper Matthew Field with deploying a spike strip and stopping the car just before the Hooksett Rest Area.

Anderson was charged with a DUI and Reckless Endangerment, and will be arraigned in Merrimack Superior Court.
