CONCORD, New Hampshire (WBZ NewsRadio) — In New Hampshire, members of the state's congressional delegation raised concerns about an upcoming U.S. Supreme Court hearing on the issue of abortion.
U.S. Senators Maggie Hassan and Jeanne Shaheen were among those on a Zoom press conference to talk about what might happen following a U.S. Supreme Court hearing on Wednesday.
They will discuss the constitutionality of abortion restrictions in the State of Mississippi, in the case of Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health.
"This is one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country and it would really dismantle Roe v. Wade and take us back to almost 50 years ago," said Hassan.

She added, if the restrictions are upheld, those most impacted by this would be low-income women. Hassan also said that the court should not put the government in front of a woman's most personal and difficult health care decisions.
Senator Shaheen called the case "the biggest threat to overturning Roe V. Wade in the history of that decision."
Representatives from Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, Equality Health Center and Lovering Health Center also participated in the Zoom meeting.
