BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's no white Christmas, but at least it's snow in December. The Massachusetts coast from Cape Cod to Cape Ann could see some snowfall build up overnight on Tuesday into Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is predicting up to two inches of snow for places like Plymouth and Gloucester. The South Coast could also see enough snow to clean off a windshield, while Metro Boston could get up to an inch. Only a dusting, if that, is expected points west. It will start as a mix overnight before turning into snow showers by the wee hours of Wednesday morning. Temps will fall to a low of 28 in some spots. The NWS is expected isolated spots of three inches.

Accuweather is playing the forecast more conservative: they expect only up to an inch on the South Shore, South Coast, and the Cape.
