Manchester Police Arrest Man Wanted In New York

Manchester, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Manchester police arrested a man from Brooklyn, New York on Thursday following a string of crimes in which he was also a suspect.

James Odam, 44, was on parole for murder in his home state and was also a suspect in recent crimes that occurred around the Manchester area.

In addition to violating his parole in New York, Odam was charged with attempted threatening with a deadly weapon and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon for an incident on August 7 outside the Red Arrow Diner in Nashua, New Hampshire.

Odam was also charged with first degree assault with a deadly weapon and being felon in possession of a dangerous weapon for an incident that happened back in June outside Pericles Club on Spruce Street in Manchester.

Manchester Police Chief Allen Aldenberg in a statement said, “let this be a warning to criminals who come to the city of Manchester, you will not be tolerated to hide here.”

Manchester Police arrested Odam just before 10:00 pm Thursday night. He was taken into custody without incident.
