BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The longtime leader of Boston's Boch Center Josiah Spaulding Jr. has announced he's stepping down from his position in the spring.

The president and CEO of the iconic Boch Center has been with the organization since 1986.

And while he's leaving his leadership position, he will be staying on as a senior adviser and consultant.

For all of the performances Spaulding has been involved with throughout the years, he said it's almost impossible to pick his favorites. But he tried. "The concerts of Billy Strings, Jason Isbell, Cat Stevens...I went to concerts here when I was 14, and I never thought I'd be running the place for 38 years," he said. "I have a lot of good memories."

A search firm will be running the process of finding Spaulding's successor by the end of this year.
