CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Actress Jennifer Garner is the latest recipient of Hasty Pudding Theatrical’s Woman of the Year Award.
The organization made the announcement on Thursday saying, “the Pudding is proud to present this honor to an iconic and talented actress who has had such an impactful presence in the world of entertainment.”
The Woman of the Year Award is Hasty Pudding’s oldest honor and has been given to performers each year “who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment.”

Established in 1951, the award has been given to many notable actresses including Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington and, most recently, Viola Davis.
Award festivities will be held on February 5 and start with Garner leading a parade through the streets of Harvard Square. After the parade, a celebratory roast will be held in Garner’s honor. Festivities will conclude with Hasty Pudding’s performance of “HPT 173: Ship Happens!”
This comes after Jason Bateman was announced as the recipient of the 2022 Man of the Year Award in December. The festivities for Bateman will take place on February 3. Tickets for either events can be purchased online.
