High Wind Forecast Spurs Steamship Authority To Waive Cancelation Fees

FALMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Changing with the winds, the Steamship Authority is giving those who aren't up for anticipated rough waters a way out.

Change and cancelation fees are being waived for passengers traveling on Thursday, as the National Weather Service predicts high winds up to 39 knots near the Massachusetts islands.

This applies for ferries departing Woods Hole in Falmouth and Hyannis bound for Nantucket or Vineyard Haven.

Officials say the latest schedule changes can be found on the Steamship Authority's website.
