BRIMFIELD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Hampden County District Attorney's Office are seeking the public's help in identifying a piece of clothing found near the remains of 10-year-old Holly Piirainen, who was found dead in a wooded area of western Massachusetts nearly 30 years ago.
On Wednesday, Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni released photos of a white tank top shirt with the name "Boston" written on the front in blue, purple, and pink font. The shirt has no size or identifying tags.

"We are interested in determining who owned the shirt, its origin, anything about its manufacture, or any information regarding its association with the area where Holly was found," Gullini told reporters during a briefing Wednesday.
Holly was vacationing with her father and other relatives at a Sturbridge cottage on Aug. 5, 1993. Her father last saw her at 11:45 a.m. heading to a residence near Allen and South Shore roads to play with puppies she knew resided there.
Holly's father reported her missing about an hour later when she didn't return to the cottage. After an extensive months-long search, hunters founds her remains on Oct. 23, 1993, in a wooded area off Five Bridge Road in Brimfield.
Investigators have said there are persons of interest in the case, but will not give any specifics.
