Boston Architects Show Off Gingerbread Designs

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Some of Boston's top architectural talents poured their time and energy into the recreations of famous landmarks on display at the Boston Society of Architects' BSA Space on Congress Street Monday.

The catch? They're all edible.

It's the eighth year in a row the BSA has held their Annual Gingerbread House Design Competition and Exhibition, which serves not just to entertain, but to also draw attention to the organization's civic and educational programs.

This year, the theme was "world monuments." The entries included the Eiffel Tower, Beijing's Forbidden City, and the Wall from Game of Thrones.

"Every year, I'm blown away," Michela Davola, Development Manager at Boston Society of Architects Foundation, told WBZ NewsRadio's Kendall Buhl. "It's a really wonderful exhibition, and the design firms really take a lot of time and really work on this."

As one young art admirer said, "I would eat all of these!"

The exhibit will run until January 2.
