Cows Wrangled After Taking A Sunday Stroll In Westborough

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Authorities in Westborough spent Sunday morning wrangling four cows that got loose and were found wandering in the front yards of homes on Wachusett View Drive.

With the assistance of the local Animal Control Officer and the owners, Westborough Police Department said they had their "own cattle drive" back to the cows' home behind Uhlman's ice cream stand.

Uhlman's says on its website that its "annex field" is meant for a large herd of dairy cattle in Framingham, who are usually older sows or young non-breeding calfs "here to stretch out, relax and get fat."

"Never a dull moment in Westborough!" said WPD.
