New England Commission To Vote On Three-Year Bachelor's Programs

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The New England Commission of Higher Education voted this week to hear proposals from colleges and universities looking to offer three-year bachelor's degree programs.

Merrimack College and New England College are already considering incorporating the programs into their curricula.

More than a dozen colleges around the country are considering three-year degree programs as part of the "College in 3" project.

Professors from the University of Minnesota and the University of Pennsylvania founded the initiative.

Merrimack College and New England College have both been part of the program since 2021.
