LYNN (WBZNewsRadio) - They've been in business for more than a decade, Couture Planet is a women-owned business in Lynn that is bringing good news to fashionistas across the country, quite literally.

The company creates handbags and accessories from 100% post-consumer newspaper. Business Partners and owners Kathy Cormier and Michelle Kane told WBZ's Carl Stevens they wake up each morning, excited to go to work.

"We start the day by receiving newspapers and we look for good content to make new bags." Michelle Kane said. "Once we have it, we reach out to recycling centers, we get the papers and we start the process. It's a lot of fun, and I especially get a charge when there's something good in the newspaper."

This weekend, the company will show off it's work at the Lydia Pinkham Open Studios event.

The Museum of Fine Arts has invited Couture Planet to open a pop-up the Saturday after Thanksgiving.
