The Boston Marathon Bomber Wants A New Trial. Appeal Lawyers for the surviving Boston Marathon Bomber rare making a pitch today to the Federal Appeals Court to overturn his conviction and death sentence. The defense team argues that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev did not get a fair trial because the jury pool was tainted. They argue the case should have been moved out of Boston because of the high level of emotion in the city after the attack which killed four and maimed hundreds. And The Sports Illustrated Woman Of the Year is Megan Rapinoe..... While being honored as their Sportsperson of the Year, soccer star Megan Rapinoe slammed Sports Illustrated for what she called its poor track record with women athletes. Rapinoe has generated controversy for kneeling in support of the Black Lives Matter protest movement refusing to sing the National Anthem at the World Cup and refusing to go to the White House if the US Women's Soccer Team won.
