Shuttle Buses Replacing Portion Of Green Line Due To Fallen Tree

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — A downed tree near Chestnut Hill is causing issues for some MBTA riders Friday morning.

The MBTA shut down D Branch service between Newton Highlands and Kenmore to allow crews to remove the tree and evaluate any damage that may have been done to overhead power wires.

Shuttle buses will replace train service for this section of the D Branch through the morning.

Regular service is operating between Riverside and Newton Highlands.
