BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Plenty of people freaked out when Tom Brady missed last Friday's Patriots practice with a knee injury and illness, leaving his official status in question against the Jets.

But, to no surprise, the QB took the field--as he always does--and he passed for a pair of touchdowns along with 283 yards in another Pats' win.

Brady told Westwood One's Jim Gray last night part of the game is dealing with injuries.

"You're really susceptible every time you go out," he said. "You can go out, you can be a little nicked up, and if you get hit again, it could make it worse. But the reality is, you could wait for it to get fully healthy, and then go out and take a hit, and get hurt again. If I can play, that's what I'm going to always prefer to do, and that's what I've always done--realizing that there are risks that come with playing when you're not fully healthy or things aren't fully healed, but that's just part of the nature of the game."

Brady said playing through an injury could obviously adversely impact his play, but it'd hurt him more to sit out and watch than to cope with whatever's ailing him.

The QB believes he's feeling much better this week and hopes he's turned a corner with his knee as well.

Brady and the Pats will host the Vikings Sunday.
