BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Red Sox split a double-header with the Orioles Wednesday before yesterday's off-day, and David Price made his last regular season start. Naturally, WBZ's Jonny Miller asked the southpaw how he's feeling with his next start coming in the postseason.
"You have about ten days between that next start against the Bronx Bombers," Miller said, beginning a question.
"That's who we're playing? They already beat the A's?" Price responded.
You can't blame Jonny, right? Most Red Sox fans assume the Sox and Yankees will clash in the division series, even if the Yanks know they can't overlook the Athletics in the Wild Card game.
But, first, a possible playoff preview when Boston hosts New York tonight for the first of three to wrap up the regular season. Sox already clinched MLB's best record. Yanks' magic number is one to lock up home-field against the A's Wednesday.
Lefties Brian Johnson and J.A. Happ will square off at 7 p.m.
Johnson's posted an ERA just over 4 in a dozen starts.
Happ's the likely Wild Card game starter. He's 6-0 with a 2.18 ERA in nine outings since joining the Bombers.
