SWANSEA (24/7 NewsSource) -- A 38-year-old Cranston man is dead after a fiery crash in Swansea.
Police say an SUV crossed over the median and struck another vehicle around 2:30 this morning on I-195 near Exit 3.
The SUV slipped down an embankment while the other car overturned and caught fire.
The driver was trapped inside and pronounced dead at the scene.
The 40-year-old female driver of the offending vehicle was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
All lanes were reopened by 7 a.m.
