Flights Between Boston, Atlanta Cancelled Due To Outages

EAST BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- Several flights between Logan Airport and Atlanta are still cancelled Monday as airline schedules continue to rebound from power outages.

One woman at the Delta counter told WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Doug Cope she'd been in Terminal A for quite a while.

"We've been here since 11 o'clock last night," she said. "We've been in here the whole time. We even went through security, our boarding pass let us get through security and act like we were going to get on the plane."

Others said that, because most flights are already booked during the busy holiday season, they can't get a flight down to Atlanta until Thursday.

"I think it's ridiculous, if you ask me," said another woman. "I would understand if they told me like a flight later today or tomorrow, but the 21st, I would be laid over and I wouldn't get to my destination until the 22nd."

Another traveler said they were stranded until Friday.

Power was restored at Atlanta Airport late Sunday night.
