BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Time is almost up to bid on a piece of Prince history.

On Thursday, RR Auction of Boston will end bidding for the Fashion of Prince Auction. One of Prince's most iconic looks, his stage-worn ruffled shirt from the 12th Annual American Music Awards, is up for auction with the highest bid at $15,000.

The shirt, worn during one of Prince's career defining performances in 1985, was acquired directly from a designer who worked with Louis and Vaughn and Marie-France on Prince's outfits for the "Purple Rain" movie and tour.

More than 200 stage-worn broaches, jewelry, gloves, lacy masks, and more from the "Purple Rain" tour are on the auction block.

RR Auction said the collector got a hold of the items from people that worked directly with Prince.
