NORWOOD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — One way to get in the holiday spirit is to see holiday lights around the commonwealth. One company is helping people see the lights in a new way... from the skies.

Boston Executive Helicopters is taking passengers on a holiday helicopter tour around the city to see the lights from hundreds of thousands of feet in the air. The tour takes holiday light seekers to see some of Boston's iconic sites from a different perspective.

"We do a night tour where you can see the lights," Chief Pilot Chris Donovan told WBZ's Chris Fama who came along for a ride. "Fenway Park, the [Prudential Center] has all the different floors lit up, the [Boston] Common, Faneuil Hall..."

The helicopter takes off from Norwood, Massachusetts, and can make it into the city in just 90 seconds.

"[It's] obviously a different perspective in a helicopter then you throw the lights in the mix and it adds something special," Donovan said.

Boston Executive Helicopters offers tours around the Boston skyline, the North Shore, and the South Shore. They also offer customizable tours.

"It's such an amazing vantage point to see the Christmas lights like downtown Boston, looking at the [Boston] Common right now," Fama said while taking in the view. "Nothing captures it like this."

Holiday tours are about $150 a person. Passengers can bring friends and family on a tour for up to five passengers for about $800.
